TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $459,982

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $417,470 against 40 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one utility certification and rate, three air quality, one landscape irrigator, two multimedia, four municipal solid waste, eight municipal wastewater discharge, one on-site sewage system, 13 petroleum storage tank, six public water system, and one water quality.

In addition, on Feb. 14 the executive director approved a total of 25 penalties, totaling $42,512.
